The time has come and the song has begun
people cheer while women fear 
it is war time , oh dear 
barrels are ready and so are swords 
the guns seem busy and so do guards 

eyes see no life as blood spill with little mercy
children wail but men , oh they don't fear 
come what may, they will march ahead 
as its time and dare can anybody stop them 

bows and arrows are a thing of past 
bullets and tanks buzz with command 
let the bravery veil upon
for there would be no peace

Where have we come from , where are we leading to
The world which scientists claim is as mysterious as the black hole
is leading us into a hole filled with sewage and filth
living beings are dying in quench for others blood
where there is no respect for a girl's dignity and decision
her soul is ripped apart in open and yet there is no disagreement
onlookers sympathize as she is forced to drink poison
the devil laughs as her beauty turns into ashes
'What a devil?' says another devil
Why bother ? Blame her culture , oh ya her dress
looked down upon by society
the accused is left open and the justice is done

Flowers of blood have replaced natural beauties
men now wield message of hatred in their hands
humanity has died , veins have stopped pumping blood
men wander in search of blood
mad as they are in their hunger , they cut open a little heart
only to realize that the little life would fetch them nothing
with little or no guilt they laugh over their stupidity
and proceed to their next victim
a lady sitting at the vicinity , lost in her thoughts
smiling as she places her hands on her heart
she can hear two hearts beating simultaneously
but oh ! suddenly everything seemed muddled up
the heart ceased beating and the smile was gone
blood had found a new owner

leaders are fighting wildly for power
the nation as taken a backseat and so have manners
politicians taunt each other in public
making fool of themselves and their parties
democracy has become a game of sanctity
who play on the name of caste and religion
they do not mind spilling blood in their thirst for victory
or spending public's hard earned money for digging gold
transition from being the backbone to a dirty game
politics has now reached a stage where the ploy is all about gain

poverty still has a women's face
struggling to keep alive and feed their younger ones
young mothers forced to sell their future as hunger calls them
wailing babies stare at their helpless mother
searching for the stinky and sweaty tassel
which once provided them with sense of relief and protection
mistaking gun for the lighter , they start blowing it
only to realize that the lighter can burn people's lives
but its too late , they now enjoy blowing it
and cater for the blood it generates
